Mini-Conference Discussion
-We are holding our own mini-conference to help prepare delegates for the big conferences to be held next meeting (October 26)
-Countries assignments pulled out of a hat
Topics (from Ecuador conference) General Assembly
1. Improving human security in the developing states
2. Protecting the global climate for present and future generations
Research your country; write position paper that includes both topics in the viewpoint of your country
We will vote on topic order (as in real conferences)
Be prepared to give speeches and defend your country’s point of view/resolution
During the conference we will have caucus time for you to negotiate with other countries, team up and write resolutions
At the end we will vote on the resolutions drafted
PIZZA PROVIDED!

New York:
Interest sheet sent around
2 available options for sessions: March 28-April 1 or March 30-April 3
(Both are during spring break and approx cost is $1000) + personal spending money
